Research interests

I have a wide interest in deep learning, particularly in human-inspired intelligence and NeuroAI.

'Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler.' The significant gap between artificial and biological neural networks results in limited biological plausibility, creating a misalignment between how ANNs and natural brains function. What if the missing ingredient in AI isn't more efficiency, but more biology? Sparsity, modularity, plasticity————these aren't bugs of natural brains, they're features. And to match their capabilities, we'd need to embed similar traits, from perceptual biases to never-ending learning..
